Captain Jeff Hanson Leads Team to Victory

Captain Jeff Hanson lead his 2011 StateLine Amateur Cup team to victory Monday at The Country Club at Loch Lloyd over friend and opposing captain Rick Shingleton. The StateLine Amateur Cup offers StateLine Amateur Tour players a chance to play in a Ryder Cup style format for the day in which each player competes in 27 holes. The top players from each division of the Tour are chosen to play in the event and each captain selects his team.

The first format, Four-Ball, left everything knotted up as each side won 3 1/2 points.

Team Hanson took a lead after round two in the Foursomes wave winning 4 1/2 points out of a possible 7.

Round three, Singles, sealed it up for Hanson’s bunch as they were victorious winning 7 1/2  points out of a possible 14.

They day ended with Team Hanson defeating team Shingleton 15 1/2 to 12 1/2.
