Reid, Hartman Go Low at Adams Pointe

Jerry Reid, of Kansas City, KS, won his first StateLine Amateur event of the 2012 season by carding an impressive 68 on the par-72 layout at Adams Pointe Golf Club on April 26.  Reid’s round was nearly spotless as he posted five birdies and one bogey in the Legends division gross scoring.

In the Senior division, Bob Hartman of Shawnee, KS, also posted an impressive round of 68 to capture his first StateLine Amateur Tour victory in 2012. Hartman matched Reid by also carding five birdies and one bogey to put together 68.

Jeff Hanson of Olathe, KS, played steady golf throughout the day to shoot a one-over-par 73 to capture the Players division title. His round included nines of 37-36 to best runner-up Michael Buckhouse of Lawrence, KS, by one shot.

A tie in the Open division between Mark Terranova of Overland Park, KS, and Michael Greene of Overland Park, KS, rounded out Open division scoring for the day. Terranova and Greene matched each other on the 6,877 yard layout with a score of 75.

In Net scoring, Robert Sneed of Lee’s Summit, MO took home the Players division with a net score of 69 for the day. Sneed’s round was highlighted by an eagle-2 on the par-4 16th hole. Rounding out the Net scoring divisions, John Pawsat of Mission, KS, carded a five-under-par 67 to claim his victory in the Legends division besting Steve Frisbie of Olathe, KS, by two shots.
