The KC Junior Tour held its first event of the 2012 season yesterday at Lake Quivira Country Club.  Lake Quivira Country Club proved to be both a beautiful and difficult host to the 129 players in the field.

The Boys 13-15 Division found itself with a two-way tie for medalist honors. Kevin Lane, of Overland Park, KS, and Tanner Owen, of Parkville, MO, both carded even-par 71 on the 6,034 yard layout.

In the Girls 18-hole Division another narrow victory occurred. Anna Kloeppel, of Kansas City, MO, carded one shot better, 85, over Kaleigh Ashen, of Overland Park, KS.  Anna’s score included three birdies over the course of 18 holes.

For the Girls Prep Division, Gwen Laub took medalist honors with a 52. In 2nd Place was Justice Allen, who managed a 63 on the hilly back 9 at Lake Quivira.
