In the Boys Prep division, Joe Bultman climbed back into the winners circle after taking 2nd place last week at Lake Quivira. Bultman tied competitor Frankie Failoni at 6-over par 42 on the windy back 9 at Minor Park. In the Girls Prep division, another Bultman reigned victorious, firing a solid 51 to take medalist honors over runner-up Gwen Laub at 58.
Olivia Laub earned her first victory of the season defeating second-place finisher Kaleigh Ashen by one single shot. This would be Ashen’s second runner-up finish in two events.
Kevin Lane would share top honors for the second straight event with Ryan Drake in the Boys 13-15 division with rounds of 79. Lane’s scorecard included a birdie on the first hole followed by steady play throughout the round. Drake proved to be strong coming down the stretch, playing his last five holes in 1-under-par.
In the Boys 16-18 division, Austin Ferraiuolo took home his first win of the 2012 KC Junior Tour season. Ferraiuolo held off his competition by making birdie on the last hole to give him a comfortable two-shot victory. Runner-up honors would be a tie between Nick Betts and Trey Brown at 79.
The next event of the KC Junior Tour season is Monday, July 2nd at Drumm Farm. To check out full results from the KCJT at Minor Park, please Click Here…>>>
