Regional Championships
The Kansas City Golf Association is proud to conduct five regional championships. The championships are designed to provide competitive opportunities for all ages, genders, and skill levels. The championships are listed below. To learn more about each championship click on the link.

Mid Amateur – Senior Team Challenge

Format

36 holes Team Stroke Play.

Eligibility

One player on the team must be at least 50 years of age by the first day of the championship.
Open – Team’s combined USGA Handicap Indexes must not exceed 10.0
Players – Team’s combined USGA handicap Indexes must be at least 5.0 and must not exceed 26.0

Entry Fee

$350 per team

Women’s Amateur of Kansas City

Format

36 holes stroke play. Size and number of flights based upon USGA Handicap Indexes and the number of entries received.

Eligibility

Open to female amateurs who have an active USGA Handicap Index of 26.0 or less at a KCGA member club.

Kansas City Amateur

Format

54 holes stroke play with a cut after 36 holes in each flight. Number of players to make the cut will vary based upon number of players in each flight.

Eligibility

Open to male amateurs who have an active USGA Handicap Index at a KCGA member club. A USGA Handicap Index of 3.4 or less is required to enter the Open Flight. A Handicap Index of 18.2 or less and at least 50 years of age by July 9, 2010 to enter the Senior Flight. A Handicap Index at least 1.0 but not more than 18.2 is required for the Players Flight. A player must be at least 60 years of age by July 9, 2010 to enter the Legends Flight.

Heart of America Four-Ball

Format

36 holes Four-ball stroke play qualifying. A total of 48 teams qualify for single elimination match play. Ties for a final match play seed shall be determined by a hole-by-hole playoff. The match play bracket size for each division shall be determined by the total number of entries. Field is limited to 100 teams.

Eligibility

Open to any male amateur (including non-KCGA members) with an active USGA Handicap Index.
Open team’s combined USGA Handicap Indexes must be 10.0 or less
Masters and Senior team’s combined USGA Handicap Indexes must be 14.0 or less
Masters – each player must be at least 40 years old by October 1, 2012
Senior - each player must be at least 55 years old by October 1, 2012

36 holes stroke play.
