Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The KCGA Rules and Competitions Committee, whose decision is final, shall settle all questions. Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures

This championship uses the Check-Point System for Pace of Play. The Check-Point System is based upon the requirement of all groups being in position at each check-point. Players in a group out of position at a check-point are liable to the applicable penalty if the Committee determines the group or any player in the group was in breach of the pace of play guidelines. Please review the Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures.

Communication Devices

The use of communication devices is prohibited during the stipulated rounds.

Play-off

In the event of a tie the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off starting immediately after the Committee has verified results and announced the play-off at the scoreboard.

A player is required to immediately notify the KCGA if they need to withdraw from a competition via the KCGA Online Tournament Registration System. If internet access is not available then withdraw via phone. Failure to notify the KCGA may result in disciplinary actions, which may include a suspension from future KCGA competitions.

Code of Conduct

Proper attire is part of the Code of Conduct and required at all times. The following guidelines describe acceptable attire, unless stricter rules are required by a host facility.

  • Shorts must be mid-thigh length Golf shirts with a collar are required (except girls) and must be tucked in
  • Hats must be worn with the bill forward

The KCGA may assess any or all of the following penalties based on the severity of the violation: disqualification from the event where the violation occurs, suspension from one or more events, or suspension of KCGA membership for an indefinite period. After each incident, a letter of warning will be delivered to the player and parent/guardian. In the event of a suspension, the player may submit a written account of the Code of Conduct violation to the KCGA Golfer Development Committee within five (5) days of the suspension/disqualification. The Golfer Development Committee will review all submitted materials, including a KCGA staff member’s account of the violation. All appeals must go through the appropriate channels to be considered.
