Likes Steady in Victory at Dub’s Dread

The Stateline Amateur Tour continued its season at Dub’s Dread Golf Course on August 2. Forty-eight players participated in the event.

In the senior division, Mark Worthey fired a one-over par, 73, to win by two shots. Robert Booth and Steve Groom both shot rounds of three-over, 75, to tie for second place.

Ron Brewer won the legends division with a score of two-over, 74. His margin of victory was only one, over David Hornaday who took second place with a three-over, 75. Sam Vanlandingham and Fran Ferns both tied for third in the legends division posting five-over, 77.

Jeff Mason fired a four-over, 76, to lead the open division. Bryan Meyer finished second with a 77. Jason Cross and Alex Teeling both tied for third place after shooting scores of eight-over, 80.

Last but not least, Carter Likes won the players division by five shots. Likes shot an even-par round of 72 with two bogeys, two birdies, and fourteen pars on his scorecard. Ritch Nigh, Dale Nash, and Andrew Makowske all tied for second after shooting 77.
