The overall goal of the KCJT is to provide
all junior amateurs an opportunity to play competition regardless of
skill while focusing on teaching them “Respect FORE the Game.”
Today was the second event this week for the
Champions Division and was played out at Alvamar Golf Club. In the
boy's 16-18 Division, Hunter Lewis took medalist honors, firing a
round of 74 to edge out his fellow competitors Austin Jarchow and
Michael Fischer who came in right behind him with a score of 75.
Taking home third place honors was Brandon Bowman firing a round of
76. In the 14-15 age group, Ryan Zech, firing a round of 74,
took home his third win of the season. Second place went to
golfers Henry Simpson, Matthew McIntire, and Chase Hanna who all
fired a score of 78 just beating out fellow golfers Jackson Foth, Joseph
Lambert, and Zach Tate who all shot 79, taking home third place
honors.
In the girl's division, we had some personal tour
best set today. In the 16-18 division, Alexa Osbourn took home
her first win of the season firing an 80, the low round for the
girls. Following her was a top contender Morgan Lamberson
coming in with a score of 82 and McCall Christopher with an 86.
In the 14-15 division, Morgan Cross beat out her competitors, firing
a round of 81. Katie Morel, shooting an 87, took home second
place honors, while Chloe Kittle left the day with a third place
finish firing a round of 92.
The next Champions Division event is July 22 out at
Dub's Dread Golf Club. There are currently 0 walk-up spots
