The overall goal of the KCJT is to provide
all junior amateurs an opportunity to play competition regardless of
skill while focusing on teaching them “Respect FORE the Game.”
Today
was the last regular season event for the KC Junior Tour today.
Both division played out at Dub’s Dread Golf Club and leading the
way for the Champions Division was Ian Boat, firing the low round of
the day with a one under par 71. Right behind him was Chris Reinert
with a 72. The third place honors went to Brandon Bowman, Erik
Johnston, Hunter Lewis, and Anthony Spalitto who all shot a round of
75. In the 16-18 girls division, Allison Forristal and Celeste
Gassman tied for medalist honors firing a round of 78. The second
place honors went to Lauren Miles who fired 80. McCall Christopher
left the course today with third place honors firing a round of 85.
In the 14-15 boys age division, Ryan Zech shot a round of 73 to
take medalist honors for the fourth time this season. Adam Cummings
came in second firing a round of 78, just edging out Cody Bonebrake
and Austin Johnson who to shot a round of 79. In the girl’s
division, Katie Morel fired a round of 80 to take home medalist
honors for a third time this season. Coming in second was
Brooke Larue shooting 87, just edging out Morgan Cross and Chloe
Kittle who shot 88. The last highlight of the day was the
hole-in-one made on hole 8 by Matthew McIntire.
