The overall goal of the KC Junior Tour is to
provide all junior amateurs an opportunity to play competition
regardless of skill while focusing on teaching them “Respect FORE the
Game.”
The first Player’s and Prep Division event of
the 2008 KC Junior Tour was hosted today by Paradise Pointe
on The Outlaw and The Posse respectfully. Coming out on top in the
9-12 year old girls division there was a tie between Jean Tyrrel and
Alex Larson. Brett Miller shot an impressive 40 to win the 9-12
year old boys division. Players Division winners include Ashton
Munholland, 13-15 year old girls, Austin Lowe, 13-15 year old boys,
Kristina Genton, 16-18 year old girls, and Nathan Graham, 16-18 year
old boys. Lowe, 13, from Kansas City, recorded the low score of the
day with a three over par 75. The next KC Junior Tour
Players/Prep Division event is June 12th at Minor Park Golf Course.
