The overall goal of the KC Junior Tour is to
provide all junior amateurs an opportunity to play competition
regardless of skill while focusing on teaching them “Respect FORE the
Game.”
The Players and Prep Division swung back into action
today our at Excelsior Springs Golf Course. It was a gloomy
morning, but turned out to be a great day with great scores. In
the Prep Division, Adam Lechner took home medalist honors for a
consecutive time firing a round of 39. Mitchell Bolton and
Tanner Owen were right behind him coming in with a score of 40.
Zach Spencer took home third place honors firing a round of 42. In the girl's division, Britanni Jenson came in shooting a score of 52 beating out Adrianna
Elliott who fired a 72.
In the Players Division Jim Gallogly fired a
round of 78 to take home medalist honors for the 16-18 division. Nathan Graham
and Jordan Williams were three strokes behind him shooting an 81.
Andrew Hanson, shot a score of 83 to take home third place honors.
In the 13-15 age division, Justin Cecchini and Ryan Hand tied for first
firing a round of 80. Not too far behind them, coming in second,
was Declan Fogarty firing an 83, just edging out Max Skid and Macon Suckow
who took third
shooting a round of 84. In the girl's 13-15 division, Ashton
Munholland shined by firing a round of 79, just edging out Sarah
Genton who shot 80. In third place we had Lauren Fender coming
in firing a round of 87. In the older division Kristina Genton
took home medalist honors by shooting a round of 80. Second
place honors were given to Sarah Dennis who came in with an 84.
Paige Nawalany left the course today with a third place finish firing
a round of 93.
The next Players/Prep Division event is at Royal
Meadows on July 21. Currently the field is full, but walk-ups will be taken in
case of no-shows or late cancelations.
