The overall goal of the KC Junior Tour is to
provide all junior amateurs an opportunity to play competition
regardless of skill while focusing on teaching them “Respect FORE the
Game.”
The Players and Prep Division was back in action today out at Royal
Meadows Golf Course. In the Prep Division John Sallaz took home
medalist honors firing a 9 hole score of 41. His fellow
competitors Marc McClain and Pierce Moling, tying for second place,
were a stroke behind him firing a score of 42. Coming in third
for the day was Tommy Dunn firing a 43 for the day. Jean Tyrrell
won the girl's division shooting 45 beating out Adrianna Elliott who
fired a 57. Taking home third place honors was Amanda Malecki
shooting a score of 59.
In the Players Division Nathan Graham fired a round of 82 to take
home medalist honors for the 16-18 division. Alex Hanson,
Tyler Kopatich and Fritz Krause were four strokes behind him shooting an 86.
Wes Brewer, shot a score of 86 to take home third place honors.
In the 13-15 age division, Tucker Johnson won shooting the low round
of the day 79. Not too far behind them, coming in second, was
Cody Madsen and Max Skid firing a round of 80, just edging out Connor
Knabe
who took third shooting a round of 81. In the girl's 13-15 division,
Ashton Munholland shined brightly today by firing a round of 84.
She shined not only because she won medalist honors for her age group,
but shined because she had her first hole-in-one of her golfing career
- congrats to Ashton! Madalyne Bird, shooting 86, came in second
beating out Madyson Smith and Madison Wolf who fired a score of 92. In the older division,
Anna Filardo took
home medalist honors by shooting a round of 85. Second place honors
were given to Katelyn Nigus who came in with an 86. Paige Nawalany
left the course today with another third place finish firing a round of
87.
