Lodging:There are numerous hotels in the area with a variety of rates. To find what best suites your needs look online at www.visitkc.com then select accommodations and either the East Area. Registration:There is no formal registration on site. A Notice to Players and Hole Location sheet will be available at the starting tee. Important: Report to the starting tee no less than 9 minutes prior to your assigned starting time. There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time. Food & Beverage:The club’s snack bar will be available for food and beverage services. Cash or reciprocal club charges are accepted. Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the facility. General Rules Information:The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The KCGA Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions. Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2008-09 Rules of Golf book. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: 2 Strokes. Distance-Measuring Devices:The USGA DOES NOT permit the use of distance-measuring devices for this championships qualifier. Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:This qualifying site uses the Check-Point System for pace of play. The Check-Point System is based upon requiring a group to be in position at each check-point. Players in a group out of position at a check-point will be liable to the applicable penalty if the Committee determines the group or any player in the group was in breach of the pace of play guidelines. Please review the pace of play guidelines and procedures - check here to review. Player/Caddie CartsPlayers are allowed to use a golf cart for this qualifier, however if they have a caddie the caddie must walk. Pull/Push carts are allowed. Spectator CartsUSGA policy does not permit spectator carts. There are no exceptions. CaddiesCaddies are permitted, however you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie. Practice RangeThe practice range opens one hour before the first starting time weather permitting. Range balls will be set up at the practice range and are complimentary for competitors only before the stipulated rounds or a play-off Qualifying PositionsThis qualifying site has been allocated 1 Qualifying Positions. In addition, two (2) alternate positions will be determined. Should you qualify or earn an alternate position, you must accept your position and pick up the Championship’s Memorandum to Contestants at the scoring table before you leave the qualifying site. Play-offIn the event of a tie for the final qualifying place or the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off. The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier. WithdrawalsPlease contact the USGA if you need to withdraw. If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on August 22, please call (913) 484-1844 and leave a message on the voicemail. Note: A return phone call to confirm your withdrawl will not be made. Attire & ConductProper golf attire is required. Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required. The host club is a “spikeless facility.” Close of CompetitionThe qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when
all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the
