Team Missouri Wins Women’s Fore State Competition

The annual women’s Fore State Championship was held at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin, Missouri on August 1-2.  Teams from Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma bring teams of twelve women to compete in a Ryder Cup-style competition playing Four Ball and Foursomes on day 1, and singles matches on Day 2.  Each team consists of six amateurs under the age of 40 and six mid-amateurs age 40 and over.

Team Missouri won this year’s spirited competition.

Day 1 results:

Four ball: AR 2.5, KS 3, MO 4.5 and OK 2.

Foursome:AR 3.5, KS 3, MO 3.5 and OK 2.

Day 2 results:

Singles matches: AR 2, KS 5.5, MO 9, and OK 7.5

FINAL RESULTS: AR 8,KS 11.5, MO 17, and OK 11.5
